CA downsizing marks a shift in strategy; CA Offices in Malaysia would be downsized

Image
GLOBAL software vendor CA has decided to downsize its operations in Asia, including Malaysia, but has spared Singapore for the time being as one of its regional centres. Australia is the other regional centre spared. So far only the Indonesian office has been closed, according to CA officials, while offices in the Philippines and Malaysia would be downsized. Reports out of Taiwan claim that the CA office would also be downsized. Those in the know claim the next downsizing will affect offices in Thailand, Hong Kong and China, but the operations in India will remain intact. With the Indonesian office closed, CA has 12 offices in Asia Pacific and Japan. The downsizing of the Malaysian operation was effective Monday. This had sparked a rumour that CA was closing down its operation in Malaysia. Several employees will be retained to hold the fort for CA in Malaysia. More information from The Star over here .
